Arches National Park 2018 – Mother Nature was given a broad canvas to create and shape these magnificent arched sculptures. It is a dance of rock and sun. It produces hikes on sandy paths and jutting red fins. One can sit and gaze for hours through a naturally formed frame or window to the red rocks and sprawling landscapes.
For the moderate to advanced hiker, what passes for a trail through this desert is often possessed of steep ruts and rounded boulders requiring one to scramble a bit. The Rock Fin Trail comes with slightly weakened knees and a flip-flop in the belly (if you are at all squeamish when it comes to heights). The more accessible arches are paved, however.
